2022 Holocaust Remembrance: memory, dignity and justice

January 27, 2022

On this day, 77 years ago, Soviet troops liberated the Concentration and Extermination Camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau. EUAM pays tribute to the memory of the victims of the Holocaust and reaffirms the European Union’s commitment to counter antisemitism, racism, and other forms of intolerance that may lead to group-targeted violence.

The writing of history and the act of remembering brings dignity and justice to those whom the perpetrators of the Holocaust intended to obliterate. Ukraine was among the most affected countries of human suffering. EUAM supports today’s Ukraine’s efforts to build up structures to ensure that this will never happen again.
