August 19, 2015

The EU Advisory Mission (EUAM) delegation, chaired by the Head of EUAM Kalman Mizsei, gets an update on activities and challenges of the center, which provides free legal aid for citizens of Kharkiv. According to the information from the Deputy of the Free legal aid center, Olena Kulkova, all of the contracted lawyers are paid by the State, but they earn only 15 hryvnas per an hour (with taxes deducted). So, the engine of the Center is mainly enthusiasm. Since June 2015, a hundred of the Free legal centers are operating in all of the Ukrainian regions. They are specializing on criminal, civil and administrative cases.
