The European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) organised a working visit of Ukraine’ Parliament Committee on Law Enforcement to the Donetsk region this week. Today, the National Police presented them its operational capacities: equipment for emergency situations, work of canine units, explosive ordnance disposal service, forensic  and special units.

The delegation included Andriy Osadchuk, First Deputy Head  of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement, and Deputy Head of the EU Advisory Mission Fredrik Wesslau.

“Today  police is provided with training and equipment, in particular, due to  the assistance from the European Union. It enhanced our capacity to provide assistance to people and improved quality of criminal investigations, “said Artem Kysko, the acting Head of the National Police in Donetsk region.

“What I saw at that moment is promising. There are many young, motivated people in the National police. Together with our international partners we will increase capacities of  law enforcement agencies”, highlighted Andriy Osadchuk, First Deputy Head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement.
