EUAM donates cutting-edge IT equipment to the National Police of Ukraine in Donetsk region

The European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) continues to enhance institutional capacities of Ukrainian partners in regions during COVID-19 outbreak.

The International Police Cooperation Unit of the National Police in Donetsk region, which conducts cooperation with Interpol, Europol and international organisations working in Ukraine, received IT support from the Mission today.  The Unit coordinates  activities of law enforcement agencies in the region involved in combatting transnational crime and cooperates with 194 countries of the world. EUAM donated computers and other IT equipment in order to improve communication capabilities, information sharing and response of the National Police in Donetsk region.

With emerging COVID-19 challenges, new e-tools and communication technologies are on the top of the agenda for law enforcement agencies of today as the pandemic has increased the workload and threats for officers delivering their daily duties. The ongoing EUAM support to partners in regions is aimed at enhancing their capacities with cutting-edge technologies and IT assistance during the coronavirus outbreak.
