Dialogue policing – training in Lviv

During mass events such as demonstration and football matches, specially trained police negotiators are deployed in most EU member states in order to maintain a dialogue with event organisers and participants. This tactic — called dialogue policing — is proven to reduce violence. Last year and earlier this year, the EU Advisory Mission and the Czech Police trained Ukrainian police officers to become trainers in dialogue policing, and these officers are now training their colleagues.
