Federica Mogherini visits Kyiv
November 11, 2015 “The European Union Advisory Mission is a crucial response to the current situation in Ukraine and an important tool to sustain Civilian Security Sector Reform”, said High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini, while visiting EUAM office in Kiev. “Ukraine has clearly expressed a need for support and we confirm our full commitment to it”, added Mrs Mogherini.

ad of the EU Delegation in Kiev Jan Tombinski and the Ambassadors of EU Member States. “We are very pleased that High Representative is in town today, and hope that her visit will give a new impetus to vital reforms in area of rule of law and law enforcement agencies”, said Head of Mission Kalman Mizsei while pointing out that such reforms are “highly expected by the Ukrainian people”.
Mrs Mogherini previously held a range of meetings with Ukrainians’ authorities, including President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, Minister for Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin and Speaker of Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman as well as civil society representatives.
