EUAM facilitated a field visit to Zakarpattia of the EU Integration Parliamentary Committee
September 20, 2021On 15-16 September, EU Advisory Mission Ukraine (EUAM) facilitated and supported a field visit to Zakarpattia region of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Ukraine’s integration into the EU. During the visit, the delegation that comprised members of the committee, Head of EUAM Antti Hartikainen, as well as representatives of the EU Delegation in Ukraine and Support Group for Ukraine (SGUA), accompanied by the representatives of State Border Guard Service, State Customs Services, visited a number of border crossing points to see how Integrated Border Management System (IBM) is being implemented.
During the second day, the Committee held its meeting to discuss key takeaways from the visit and to plan way forward concerning IBM implementation and trans-border cooperation.
