EUAM Head of Mission met with the Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine

Today, Cornelia Taylor, EUAM Ukraine Head of Mission, and Igor Kusan, who has recently joined EUAM Ukraine as Head of the Veterans Support Unit, met with Vitalii Kim, Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, together with representatives of the EU Delegation to Ukraine.
The meeting focused on veterans’ reintegration and the transition to civilian life.
The discussion provided an opportunity to align international advisory support with the Ministry’s strategic way forward while sharing European experience, including examples from Croatia on supporting veterans as they return to civilian life and reintegrate into their communities. Drawing on lessons learned, EUAM Ukraine will continue to work with Ukrainian partners on practical approaches to veteran reintegration.
Successful reintegration of veterans can contribute to stronger communities, economic prosperity and democratic stability – overall a stronger Ukraine.
