EUAM activities in the area of Rule of Law

March 01, 2019

More than 70 investigative judges from all across Ukraine today took part in a seminar – organised by the European Union Advisory Mission (EUAM) and the National School of Judges – that aimed to form an understanding of international standards for investigative judges in criminal proceedings, practices of the European Court of Human Rights, and to assist with issues arising during the daily work of an investigative judge. Participants were representatives of courts of appeal and first instance courts in Ukraine, and the conclusions of the seminar will soon be put in a handbook and curriculum, which can be used not only by investigative judges, but also by investigators and prosecutors.
