Criminal Justice practitioners meet publicly to ‘JustTalk’ about reform


“JustTalk” is a platform where criminal justice professionals (e.g. investigators, prosecutors, judges) discuss problematic issues in their work. They can be from the Supreme Court, from the Anticorruption Court, the Prosecutor General’s Office or the National Police of Ukraine (NPU).” 
It has now been a year and a half, since April 2019, that this singular club regularly meets in the Ukrainian capital to talk about the state of play of criminal justice reform. But the content of the professional discussions held between these renowned investigators, prosecutors, and judges is a mystery to no one. On the contrary, in full transparency, all of their conversations are broadcasted in an interactive manner on their Facebook page (sometimes live) and opinion articles written by these judicial experts are shared on their blog platform to address the progress in the reform.

EU/UNOPS car donation for Ukrainian domestic violence mobile response groups

On 20 November 2020, the European Union together with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) provided the National Police of Ukraine (NPU) with nine patrol carsand nine police cars for domestic violence mobile response groups. 

The cars will be delivered to nine regions across Ukraine: Kirovohrad, Lviv, Kharkiv, Odesa, Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Chernivtsi, Poltava and Khmelnytskyi regions. In addition, traffic police and public order equipment, including special purpose and high visibility vests, megaphones, skid chains, tow ropes, barrier bands, start cables, traffic cones and road accident signs, were delivered to the NPU last month.

#OrangetheWorld: EUAM supports the movement against gender-based violence in Mariupol

This year, the staff from EUAM’s new field office in Mariupol decided to meet with their law-enforcement counterparts and the civil society to encourage them to share their own message for the #OrangetheWorld campaign and to take a stand against gender-based violence (GBV).
